| 仕事内容 | Overview: Pococha team is looking for a Senior Director of Global Engineering who will be responsible for leading several managers who lead teams which design and develop to realize our vision to be the best global live streaming platform that enables the creation of communities for everyone to thrive and enjoy beyond their home and workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, global leadership experience, fluent in Japanese and English, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products on time, within budget and high quality. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and ensure the successful execution of projects. |
| 応募資格 | ・Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. ・Minimum of 15 years of experience leading engineering teams (>30) in the development of software products, spread across multiple geographies and time zones. ・Bilingual in Japanese and English. ・Worked in Start up and/or fast paced environment ・Experience building up the team in offshore development center(s) or partners is a plus ・Strong technical background and experience with software development methodologies, tools, and technologies. ・Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. ・Experience managing product development from ideation to launch, with a track record of delivering high-quality products on time and within budget. ・Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues. ・Experience working in an agile development environment. ・Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. ・Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. ・Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance. Strong business acumen and the ability to align engineering goals with overall business objectives. ・Passion for technology and the ability to stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Responsibilities: ・Lead a team of managers to design and develop innovative products and solutions that meet the needs of our users. ・Manage the software development process from ideation to launch, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. ・Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance to ensure the successful execution of projects. ・Develop and implement engineering best practices, processes, and standards to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency in the development process. ・Mentor, coach and provide leadership to managers and team members, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. ・Collaborate with other senior leaders to align engineering goals with overall business objectives, by tracking and communicating progress against both OKRs and metrics ・Promote the changes necessary to transform our Engineering function into an outstanding global organization by leading our "Continuous Improvement Program" in collaboration with product and engineering leaders. ・Ability to balance short-term (tactical) and long-term (strategic) plans. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for engineering positions, and manage team members' performance. ・Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and identify opportunities to incorporate them into the organization's product development process. |
